I periodically find jacket fragments in suppressors with no signs of baffle strike. I’m not entirely sure what’s happening in that case. If the fragments are super tiny, it might be due to the bullet scrapping against the barrel. New can owner, a SilencerCo Harvester 300.

Missing eyes and fingers bad. With a sinking feeling I picked up the suppressor. I unscrewed the end cap. It unthreaded! I poured out probably 100+ grain of shaved and powdered lead. The endcap was completely undamaged! Not one crack. It wasn't bowed out, nothing. Baffles were totally intact aside from some lead splash on the last baffle.

It’s basically impossible to have a baffle strike due to poor muzzle threads on a CGS can because of this. 2.Recently installed a Delta P Design adapter and Surefire 762-211c muzzle brake and got pretty severe baffle strikes just leaving the muzzle. Installed a JP large profile compensator and had the same result. Cycling was a non-issue. Removed the Delta P adapter and installed the original SOCOM muzzle brake and no issues whatsoever.
